Our measurements are diagnostic, not official

The Patient Shortlist Index and the AI Share of Shortlist are measures created by The Aesthetic Shortlist under the test conditions documented in each report. They are not rankings held or published by OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Perplexity, or any other platform, and no platform endorses or supplies them.

Platform names

ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity are the products of their respective owners. We reference them because we query them. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any of them.

Sample data

Our sample report describes a fictional practice and is labelled as such on every page. No sample figure is a customer result, a case study, or a testimonial.

The cold-start demo

We describe an internal test in which a fresh Claude Code session moved a deterministic implementation verifier from 1/10 to 10/10 PASS on a demo website using a generated Fix Pack. That is a measure of whether the package is self-explanatory enough to execute. It is not a claim about AI recommendation outcomes for any practice.

Medical claims

We are not a medical provider and we make no claims about the safety, efficacy or suitability of any treatment. Content we prepare for a practice states only facts the practice has verified, and anything touching a medical, credential or outcome claim is routed to the practice for approval before publication.

No causation claimed

Where we report a change after an implementation, we report what changed and what did not, and we state plainly that AI systems are influenced by factors outside any vendor's control. We do not present correlation as causation.
